Fear is the biggest barrier they have to beat the adults in the face of ICT in general and computers in particular. This does not happen to children and teenagers.

The idea of moving an object on the side of the keyboard and this corresponds to an arrow that moves on the screen is not as simple for someone who never sat in front of a computer as it may seem. And neither is clicking, double clicking or finding the letters on the keyboard to type something.

If we add to this difficulty the pressure of feeling less skillful compared to children and adolescents who handled the tools as extensions of his body, the possibility that someone voluntarily expose to this situation is quite remote.

That's why Centros MEC for almost two years is working in adult digital literacy. With very basic and practical Workshops they help to encourage research and learning to use computers step by step.

For these workshops is that it was conceived and developed in a joint work between CENTROS MEC and LUDO Contenidos "The Cuckoo of computers", a teaching tool with a large leisure component.

"The Cuckoo of computers" consists of two parts that can be used together or separately. On the one hand an animated video presentation, playing with any fear, explains what is a computer and what can serve to. As the second block are the exercises that users need to be overcome that fears.

Click, double click, drag and write a few sentences ago makes that cuckos become good and the scenery becoming more friendly.
